Yes. You should receive a minimum of 4 emails within a few days after you sign up for a class:
- A receipt from our reseller, Mechanical Transfer Corp
- A welcome email from the Log Home Builders Association (LHBA)
- A travel tips and tricks email from the LHBA
- A “what to bring” email from the LHBA
In addition, you will probably get a receipt from our payment partner, 2Checkout.com.
If you don’t receive all of these emails within about a week after signing up for a class, drop us an email and we’ll see what’s up.
You should bring a few pens and pencils, and a fresh clean mind, ready to absorb lots of information!
Bring some warm, layered clothing, even when the outside temperature is warm. We don’t always have control over the air conditioning at hotels, and sometimes it can get a bit cold.
Please do not bring computer laptops, cameras, or recording devices, they are not permitted in class. Alcohol and recreational drugs are also not permitted.
To find our mailing address, please visit our Contact page.
We do not have a “model log home” that you can come visit. Instead, please browse the many student log homes that are posted on the website.
After you sign up, we will email you a list of tips and tricks for getting the lowest price on your travel to the class. In short, check with your travel agent or visit some of the big online travel sites such as Expedia, Travelocity, etc.
When the class is offered in a hotel, we DO NOT make deals with the hotel that require you to stay in that hotel. You are ALWAYS free to stay at any hotel that meets your needs and budget.
When booking your travel, we highly recommend that you arrange your return flight so that you can stay with the class until AT LEAST 9PM on the second day. If you leave any sooner you will be missing important information!
